Our third release in the Impression ripe series is a lovely blend of several ripe pu-erh teas from Mengku and Menghai regions of Yunnan!  

Potent, thick, sweet, and light bitterness coalesce into a dark and velvety affair!

"It's pretty, pretty good, but hasn't much body to my taste (I brew 9+ grams in a 100ml pot). Liquid also stays relatively light/orange color. The flavor profile has something of everything, though not much bitter (which is fine), and not to a high strength. I'd recommend this to novice ripe enjoyers or ppl who just want something simple. Might be a great one for grandpa style in a flask, but I haven;t tried that yet. Might also be a great cake for aging?"

"I got a sample for free during my last order, with this being my first raw pu'erh. I don't have any comparison material, but I can tell you, this is just beautiful. The aroma is complex and changes gradually from something sweet to something warm and buttery. I am so impressed that I will be getting the full cake because this is truly an experience. The bitterness and astringency are no issue at all. In general, I don't like bitterness, but this is just so different - it does not cling to your mouth, but is actually very pleasant and very refreshing. May sound strange, but it is true. Especially when waiting for your kettle, you can feel that refreshing and cooling aspect of this raw pu'erh come through, spreading in your mouth. If you want an experience, this is a must for your collection! Thank you YS for sending this as a gift!"
