Good Everyday Tea

"This is a great every day white tea. Aromatic with a light taste that opens up into a fairly satisfying floral flavor as steeps progress. I agree with the previous reviews. Needs about 2 steeps (including wash) to open up properly. What bring this review down a bit is all the "dust" in the ball. Also nearly all the leaves are ripped and broken up."

Light and calming.

"I'm used to a strong flavor when it comes to shou mei, so it was a pleasant surprise to find out how soft this one is despite of its thick and slightly oily texture."

Great white tea

"I'm a bit new to tea but this white tea is the second one I've tried. It has a very pleasant light color that darkens slightly as the steep times increases. Mainly whole leaves that are rolled pretty tight. After the wash it takes atleast 2 steeps fo [...]"

Interesting Smell

"So I am new to dragon balls and took a gong fu style to brewing them. It had a very soft taste to it with slightly floral and sweet taste from what I got. The smell of the wet leaf and the soup to me looked and smelled a lot like a whitish wine taste. The smell of the wet leaf was my favorite part, it had what I would call a very sweet and alcoholic or like fermented smell to the leaves. This didn't translate as much to the taste but it was such a treat to smell the leaves alone. I got 50 grams of this and tried it in 2022. I can say this was a pleasant tea to drink, I am going to extend the brew time tho to hopefully draw a little more flavor into the tea it''ll be fun to experiment with them!"

First white tea ball

"Definitely a tea I will purchase again when done. Light, woodsy, strong but light. Would recommend for those interested in exploring white teas."

very tasty and handy whit tea

"Some great quality whit. Very handy to take with you on the road. I get some jasmine, cranberry and stone fruit. Has a slide aged whit tea taste to it (drinking it in end of 2020). I'm really looking forward to how this tea is going to develop over the next years."

Interesting layers of tastes, smooth and thick brew

"I received two little dragon balls as a sample gift with a purchase I made for another tea on Yunnan Sourcing. I am right now enjoying the first ball and I am happy with the taste and the smoothness of this tea. Wet leaves have an interesting scent of rich lamb broth. Liquor does not disapoint ! The first brew is thick and sweet, with notes of melon juice, lemon custard, and an elusive fruit note that I cannot place. The second brew is quite different and hits with the rich salty broth note that the smell of wet leaves had promised. There is also some rock minerality, but no astringency, it's a very smooth experience, a thick, viscous drink. After several brews the tea still gives a rich liquor that warms and mellows the body. A very nice tea ! I must say that around the sixth brew, I got distracted and I let the tea oversteep for quite a long time ; the resulting liquor was a dark amber colour and the taste was still yummy, absolutely not bitter or overly astringent, wich is remarkable. Next time, I will try tasting the first rinse : considering how much the taste changed between the first and second brew, that might prove interesting ! Thank you YS for sending me this sample :)"
