These little wafers are pressed from Bai Mu Dan  pluck White Tea from Fuding in Fujian. Each wafer is roughly 5 grams (+/- 0.5 grams) and is perfect for a 1 or 2 person tea session. Brew gong fu style, western style or "grandpa" style with good results! These single serving packets are super convenient, just tear open and brew!

Fuding is the home to three famous teas. Bai Hao Yin Zhen (Silver Needles), Bai Lin Hong Cha (aka Golden Monkey), and Bai Mu Dan (aka White Peony). Fuding area teas enjoy fair weather and rich loamy soil giving them a special sweet and fruity quality. Our "White Peony" is harvested from first flush of Spring harvested tea.

The taste is sweet and fruity, with very little astringency. We recommend brewing with 90C water gong fu style to get the best taste from this wonderful tea!

Oof!

"Well the flavor is ok. Smooth and very light with a tiny bit of character. But holy hell dose it get me wired, a lot of caffeine in this. . . now I only drink green and white teas. My favorite being aged white tea. The other teas are far too stimulating so this is a specific perspective. This doesn't upset my GI tract like aged pu'erh dose, it still gives me jitters like the other stronger teas do."

Delicious and Convenient

"The mini wafers are PERFECT for keeping with me on the go or being my "emergency" tea if I've run out of my Bai Mu Dan loose tea. I love these and plan to keep them on hand permanently"

Never had tea in this

"Never had tea in this form factor before. Really good, though!"

Excellent white tea for mug brewing

"I use this in a thermos mug. Pour in boiling water and steep for 20 minutes. Tea is thick and sweet and the unfurled leaves are lovely to see after they are steeped out."

Frederick B. (5/5)

Not too bad

"They are really nice to show off for travel. But it is compressed so tight that you need to use almost boiling hot water, and needs to be poured straight on tor for al least three steeps"
