Feng Qing tea factory (now owned by Dianhong Group) is the oldest tea factory in Lincang and the original producer and exporter of Yunnan Black tea. Feng Qing county (Lincang prefecture) is also a producer of high quality pu-erh tea, many from old tea trees.

Recipe 7813 was developed by the Feng Qing tea factory in 1978 and is a tippy recipe with an average of grade 1 leaves.

This 2006 production was stored in Dongguan City (Guangdong) for the last 9 years. The storage is what is often called "Guangdong dry storage," which is wetter storage than Kunming (dry) storage but is drier (and cleaner) than many other Guangdong, HK and Taiwan storage conditions. The brewed tea is floral (without mustiness, bitter and astringent with sweet (rock sugar) mineral taste. Aroma is strong and pungent.

357 grams per cake (each cake comes in it's own little box)

Restocked from Dongguan Guangdong April 12th 2020!

** Some wrappers may be bug-bitten with little holes in the paper. There may also be some dust between the wrapper and the cake. Rinse tea once or twice briefly before drinking! If you are squeamish please don't order this tea!

Quality sheng

"It has an old book sort of flavor, and almost slightly menthol-y notes in the later brews. Great value."

very good

"Semi aged taste, well balanced smooth honey aroma and good aftertaste. Not very compresed cake. I need to explore it further"

Sweet Mellow Yet Lively Aged Raw

"Very interesting semi-aged raw tea with good amount of Guangdong storage that is very smooth, sweet, lively and mellow. To my tongue the bitterness has been all but aged out. The tea soup is clean and clear. No mustiness and only a subtle earthy aged taste with the fruity, floral, rock sugar, mineral flavors up front. I've had anhua hei cha that tastes like aged raw puerh (Gao Jia Shan Wild Fu Zhuan 400g brick available on YS), but this is an aged raw puerh that tastes like anhua hei cha - for the first 3 or 4 steeps at least with it's rock sugar / molasses flavor. Then there is a nice transition to a more lively 'candy-like' fruity and floral flavor with some since gentle astringency. Easy on the belly and wallet. Tasty tea!"

Exceptional value!

"The product description is fitting. SUPER clean and clear, ever so delicately sweet, strong yet balanced rock minerals, pleasantly pungent, slight bitterness - kinda sharp. It could be a little smoother which I'm sure will happen with age. I especially like the compaction of the cake that makes it easy to pull apart whole leaves and stems."

Excellent tea, amazing value

"Aged Pu-erh is not my favorite, but this is delicious. Would recommend to anyone who thinks they don't like aged Pu-erh. Very sweet, mineral, fruity. Amazing price for such a great tea!"

Exellent aged raw pu-erh tea!

"This aged raw Pu-Erh tea surprised me a lot! Mineral combined with a fruity and sweet taste! Considering the price this is an absolute must for everyone with low budget who would like to try an semi aged raw Pu-Erh tea!"

Be patient

"I ordered a cake of this blindly because it was inexpensive for something of its age. When i first received it I thought a made a donation to "the tuition". It was very strong in the nose especially when brewed it was almost offensive. I kept having to check the site to make sure it was a sheng and not a fresh funkadelic shou I decided to let it sit for a while and revisit it later. What a change some air has done for this thing. After almost a year in dry Idaho conditions then a few months in my pumidor this cake isnt always on my first to grab list but when I do I'm pleasantly surprised. Some shou notes with that rock mineral taste found in the description are spot on. Not as smooth or interesting as some other cakes I have from this year but interesting enough and now drinkable for me to decide it wasnt just a donation to "the tuition"."
