Reviews
"This tea has been my discovery of the year. I was looking for an inexpensive tea to take to work in a thermos. Since a thermos tends to take away some of the tea’s flavor and aroma, I simply wanted something that would give me an energy boost, without paying extra for any particularly refined flavor or aroma that would probably be lost anyway. But this tea surprised me. Not only does it have a wonderful aroma and an excellent taste, but both the flavor and aroma remain surprisingly well preserved even in a thermos. It’s an amazing tea. At first, I bought just a small amount to try it, but then I bought a lot more so I could enjoy it at home as well as take it to work."

Unique & Complex
"I find Long Mei to be the most unique among Yunnan green teas here at YS. Its taste and aroma are quite complex and balanced with no one flavor aspect taking center stage, making it one that needs a few sessions to really get to know. And yet it is bold, tasty and satisfying. I get a little nuttiness, a little fruitiness, some floral umami aspect, a mysterious rich earthiness and pungent yet gentle astringency. The leaves give generously over many steeps gong fu style."

One of the Finest Green Teas I’ve Tasted
"This is a fantastic tea, one of the best green teas I’ve ever had! Using 70 °C water and a 45-second infusion, it easily lasts through 7–8 steeps. The flavor stays consistent up to the sixth infusion, and with slightly longer steeping and 80 °C water, a bit of bitterness appears around the eighth and ninth, but it’s still very enjoyable. Both the dry leaves and the brewed tea have a strong, very appealing floral-fruity aroma. The taste of the tea is also characterized by this floral-fruity note, with a slight sweetness and a subtle, hard-to-pin-down nutty background that is not intense. This green tea is completely free of any bitterness or grassy flavor. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys this flavor profile!"

This is an interesting tea
"This is an interesting tea depending upon how you brew it, it's nice light , rich and you can really tailor it to what kind of flavor you want it. A very flexible tea , I really recommend everybody giving this a try and just don't don't fall into the same old style of brewing it and experiment with it because it really has a lot to offer"

Favorite green
"I keep trying new green teas but this is always my favorite. It brews up with a wonderful fruity apricot scent, along with touches of grass, and a bright umami background note. On the palate it’s similar, light, fresh and fruity over that warm broth middle. After swallowing the apricot flavor lingers for a while. The tea is structured but not bitter, it’s clean and crisp but has a touch of body. Very pretty, always satisfying."

A Good Green Tea
"I really like it. Has some nutty flavor and something else... almost citrus maybe. Not good at making up words for stuff, but it is good. Not a lot of astringency or bitterness. Of of the ones I sampled there are a couple I can drink it every day and this is one of them."
