Made me love bu lang
"I was more into floral and sweet sheng like yiwu und jingmai before tasting this cake. This is a turning point. This cake balances the bitterness with sweetness which makes the experience very enjoyable. I would also say this cake is complex, as different aromas hit you from steep to steep after swallowing. The first few steeps, there is some noticeable age, with some woody/earthy notes, later steeps reveal stone fruity, minerality, honey and floral aromas. This tea has a lot to give both aroma wise and longevity wise, it lasts quite a few steeps. Since it is not gushu material, you get a hell of a bargain here. This cake is an above average daily drinker, it is entertaining enough to be the main focus of your sunday afternoon."

Daily Value
"Usually I don't write these kinds of review but here I have to bang the drums for YS! On the market you can find all kinds of GuShu single branch deluxe style tea for high prices - and while some or maybe a lot of them are or may be really good, they are special, occasional brews for many of us who cannot spend 1$/gram on a daily basis and build a pu'erh selection that way. This 'Aged Bu Lang' tea is affordable. And it is a good tea. In fact, I like it a lot, it has everything I enjoy about a solid pu'erh, that is a few years old, dry stored and still fresh. Intense honey aroma, good and full mouthfeel (which I find to be a very reliable YS quality) and a sweet orange, tangerine, apricot taste with fresh aftertaste, lasting with apricots and zest. No smoke. This is pure value. Maybe it has only 90% to 95% of the intensity some 'GuShu' might have due to the fact that it is plantation tea, but that is minor. Maybe it hasn't the strongest 'Qi', but it is relaxing, offers refreshment and clarity. But you can just hit it with water, brew it strong, brew it light, it doesn't matter. Hit it with water again and again, it is a consistent tea, you can expect a lot of sweetness and body in steep 8 still, everything is fine. I have had expensive Sheng that was exceptional in early steeps but lost its core after round 5 or 6. This tea here delivers. Again, this is value. Pure value. Thanks!"

Rats! If only I'd known
"Enjoy how the few years of aging has tempered these bu lang leaves for a smoother mouthfeel. It's fragrant and the aromas of stone fruit waft up in the mouth with each swallow. As I drink through the the rounds (I'm up to number 7), I've kept the bitterness in check with slightly lower water temps in these later steeps and yet, the flavour remains. There's no doubt it will keep going for a few more rounds. I wish we'd known to put more of YS' raw cakes in our shopping cart. Will massively rectify that error in the next round of buying."

A lot of young sheng flavor and smokiness
"A very high quality sheng puerh with large leaves. No broken leaves or stems to be seen in the sample I purchased. Very aromatic tea. Starts off vegetal and becomes sweeter the more it steeps. In my opinion, it should be aged a bit longer as it is still a little bit too bitter to my taste, but if you like a bitter sweet tea this is what you should be getting. You will not be disappointed! I brewed mine at 95 celsius, gave two good rinses, at 10 seconds +5 increment."

Wonderful Tea
"I am on my 6th infusion of this gorgeous tea and it is still going strong. To me it has a rich, deep taste and texture and I feel so relaxed, I have literally only moved to fill the kettle! Would definitely recommend this tea if looking for a deep, but fresh potent tea. I wouldn't recommend driving or operating heavy machinery!"

Very good
"I've got 25g. in March 2021 Premium Tea Club Box. Impressions after first session with 5.5. g on 110g. yixing hongni teapot. VERY aromatic tea with a lot of fruity notes, mostly fresh and dried apricots and peaches, very distant and almost indiscernible smokiness. Thick mouthfeel and medium length of aftertaste. Quite strong energizing qi. Still with a lot of young sheng's characteristics."
