The classic 7581 Ripe Pu-erh recipe from Kunming Tea Factory (aka CNNP). This is a 2007 production comprised entirely of fermented Menghai area large leaf varietal Pu-erh. The brewed tea is sweet and smooth. The color of the tea liquor is deep red wine hue. A very enjoyable tea with just the right amount of aging.

Sweet Very Nice

"Excellent Sweet, cocoa, cherry and smooth. Definitely a must try."

pretty good.

"Got this free with a larger order. I'm a big fan of aged ripe puer - but found this a little lacking. None of the earthy notes I usually associate with top notch aged riper puer. Perfectly pleasant, and nothing unpleasant - just nothing spectacular."

2007 CNNP 7581 Ripe Pu-erh Tea

"So I don't really like to talk about the smell of ripe Pu-erh. I mean I am new to the tea. Yet I haven't smelled a single one that I've liked. This was no different. It still had that real strong fish smell but it did have a hint of just lake. This scent with both the dry leaf and the wet leaf. Now the beautiful color that came out of the liquor was a nice wine looking red. The smoothness could be compared to Silk. It was just pleasant to let the liquid sit in my mouth. So for the first time and drinking tea I've taste mushroom. It was truly an experience I was not experience. No matter what I did to the tea there was no bitterness at all. There is a small amount of sweetness that give it a more complex flavor. The more I Infuse the tea the more the color change. The dark red truning into a light yellow was amazing to me. I got less mushrooms with each infusion. When the mushroom tastes disappear, a wood flavor took its place. I love this tea. I plan to buy more soon. I would recommend this to any and everyone to try. The flavors are outstanding."

Definitely a good puer

"This tea has a pleasant, medium strength flavor and taste, which characteristically correspond to its age. Also, it is powerful enough. On the last straits, I felt the notes of the aroma of mushroom soup. I can recommend this tea as a "puer for every day" for its excellent combination of price and quality, and also because there is nothing in this tea that could be annoying."
