This is a unique tea to be sure. It's made from Wild Tree Purple varietal tea (ye sheng cha) growing in Jinggu county. The tea grows wild and is only harvested in March. The tea was processed using the same technique used for Yue Guang Bai, the tea wilts briefly before being put into a long wind tunnel tube, where the action of air movement gradually halts the oxidation of the tea.

The taste is something unique too. There is a lot of complexity, with notes of fruit, flower, sugarcane, and a kind of bitterness that fades quickly. With even a few months of age the bitterness will transform into fruit sweetness with a long lasting aftertaste. The tea soup is yellow, and is thick and soupy.

Yeah this one is a banger

"The smell of this tea is so strong that I thought there must be some sort of artificial scent. It literally smells like peaches. Luckily, there doesnt seem to be any artificial flavoring or anything, the tea tastes very good and pretty sweet/perfumey. I used around 195F water and 5g leaves and 100ml water and it comes out good."

Sweet fruity white tea

"This tea was very fruity. Dry leaves had an incredible aroma and the tea was light, sweet, and delicious. It had notes of peach white tea at times. Showed it to many non tea drinkers who really loved it. Would buy again."

Wild, sweet, and surprisingly rich

"Brewed this Wild Tree Purple Moonlight White at a 1g:20mL ratio with 94°C water, starting at 20 seconds and adding 20 seconds each round for a total of ten infusions. The dry leaf comes across as intensely aromatic, with a mix of bright fruit and flowers that already hints at a peachy, grape-like sweetness and light sugarcane note in the cup. Once the leaves are wet, the aroma turns deeper and more layered: still fruity and floral, but with a faint herbal edge and that “wild” purple character that gives it a slightly untamed feel. The mouthfeel is notably thick for a white tea, with a yellow liquor that feels smooth, dense, and a bit soupy on the palate without ever becoming heavy. Early steeps lean fruit-forward and sweet, with a quick flash of bitterness that fades fast into a long, lingering aftertaste, while the later infusions gradually settle into softer florals and gentle sweetness as the body lightens. Overall it comes across as a very characterful wild white tea: complex, textural, and aromatic enough that this longer ten-infusion session really lets its layered personality show. "

Great tea

"This in one of my favorite teas. It’s so delicious. It’s also very hard to mess up steeping it as it comes out delicious even with steeping variation, so very good for beginners."
