2023 Yunnan Sourcing "Spring Morning" Raw Pu-erh Tea Dragon Balls
These handy little dragon balls are composed entirely of the "huang pian" (mature larger leaves) that were hand-plucked from the mao cha (loose leaf raw pu-erh) that composed our Spring 2023 Jinggu productions. The tea was stored for three years in Jinggu before being pressed into these convenient little dragon balls (龙珠).
These large leaves are entirely from wild arbor or ancient arbor tea trees and have a great deal of depth and flavor. They deliver a honey-like sweetness with a nice viscous lubricating mouth-feel. We've given this tea the name 春晓 which means "Spring Morning" because of its fresh but gentle character. The sweetness and viscous character of these dragon balls is especially pronounced because of the three years of aging as loose leaf mao cha before pressing.
