A companion to our Silver Label (white tea) and Red Label (black tea), Green Label is a pure wild-arbor assamica raw pu-ewrh tea (生普洱) pressed into convenient 7-gram mini cakes. Harvested in Autumn 2025 from the high slopes of Zhong Cang village, Wu Liang Mountains (≈2300m) and shade-dried in the traditional white-tea manner, this is the same garden we use for our 2024/2025 Wu Liang Mountain raw pu-erh.

In hand, each coin shows a handsome mosaic of olive leaf, chestnut leaf, with grey/green leaf and silvery buds. In the cup, rock-sugar sweetness up front, citrus peel and stone fruit in the mid-palate, balanced young-sheng bitterness that quickly turns sweet; with orchid, wild honey, sweet hay, and light pine resin aromatics. Expect a clean, silky and buoyant with a cooling finish and long, sweet huigan; pleasant salivation (kou gan) through 10+ infusions without harshness.

Portable, forgiving, and quietly powerful, perfect for travel brews or measured sessions.

  • Single-garden series: one tea garden, three styles (Silver/Red/Green), so you can taste processing differences on the same material.

  • High-altitude wild arbor: naturally mixed small/large-leaf heritage stand, remote and clean environment.

  • Effortless format: tidy 7g coins; one mini cake = one session.

  • Material: Wild-arbor trees, ~200 years old (naturally mixed leaf sizes)

  • Aroma: Orchid, wild honey, sweet hay, and light pine resin

  • Taste: Rock-sugar sweetness up front, citrus peel and stone fruit in the mid-palate, balanced young-sheng bitterness that quickly turns sweet

Brewing Suggestions

  • Gongfu: 1 mini cake (7g) per 100–140 ml; 95–100 °C. Quick rinse, then start at 8–10 seconds, adding time gradually for 10–15 steeps.

  • Grandpa/thermos: 1 coin per 300–400 ml at 90–95 °C; top up as you sip.

  • Tip: A brief, hot flash-rinse helps the coin open evenly.

Aging Notes

Store in 50–65% RH and 70–90 °F, in an odor-free area, with minimal airflow. With time, the amber sweetness deepens, florals turn honeyed, and the texture gains breadth.

Experiment with the brewing

"I got this together with the other two 2025 mini cakes as my first raw Pu-erh. Unfortunately the raw flavour is wayy too strong for me and I smell some notes of tobacco that aren't my favourite. However I still drink it for the caffeine and have had success with brewing it western style at 80°C in 1L for 2-3min to make it mild and palatable for me."

Fine tea

"I like the ease of just grabbing a mini-cake and getting 4 cups from it. Flavor is very earthy and deep. Very good purchase."

Quite great

"Leaf size is good , taste is as described when using 90-95 C water but i reccomend you use 80-85C for now as that has given me the best results . I went for a 40 second rinse to open up the coin , then 30,30,25,20,20,20,20,20,30,40,40,50,50,60 and so on until brewed out to be the best for this tea and for my specific taste preference. Stone fruits and sweetness really comes out that way and the bitterness only comes out in the middle , then fades very quickly to a continuous classic young raw puerh taste but with a stronger stone fruits/ sweetness finish . Very good overall and exactly as described , i can see this becoming extraordinarily good in a few years as the bitterness will fade and the flavor will develop . Will purchase again in the future"

Good tea, convenient serving size

"Low astringency, and good sweet fruity notes in later steeps of this tea."

Glenn D. (5/5)

Refreshing

"Very fresh feeling. Vegetal taste with a kind of shape in the mouth. A bit dry, but with no bitterness. Huigan is somehow fruity, hints of sugar. Very happy with my purchase!"
