Wow, just wow, definitely an experience!

"As other reviewers noted I did taste a grape flavor but as an undertone and not over powering. At first the tea is grassy like a green tea but hang on, more steps allow the taste to change to a floral note and for me I taste a peanut/earth flavor. Must be my southern roots that hone me into that flavor. Bitterness and astringency very light but so come out more or less based on brew temp and length so nothing unusual there but at standard 195F it is very mild mild. Definitely worth sampling at the very least if you don't want to pay for an entire cake"

Grapes Galore.

"Just from drinking one 40ml cup of the wash, I got a persistent hui gan in the back of mouth and top of throat. There is a wonderful all around aspect of grape related smells and tastes with this tea. Drinking experience starts with light dry astringent upfront that moves to the tongue then lingers in the throat with a fresh crisp sweet finish. I easily got 16 steeps, and with this pattern I can easily go further but I am very tired and there is work tomorrow. I would say this tea can easily go beyond my 16 infusions if done carefully, and the average for a good raw is 15. Yunnan Sourcing raw cakes so far have surprised me, and I cannot wait to try more. Love it

"I had a couple of the “bing dao“ area teas from 2017. This one was among my favorites and it was pretty affordable. Good chaqi."

Strong qi!

"This is a subtle and mellow tea, not too strong in either aroma or taste. Smell is thick, heavy and damp with notes of pickle, grilled corn and (roast) vegetables. The taste is medicinal, grassy and floral. There is a bit of honey, but the dominant flavour is the one of dry grass/hay. Bitterness and astringency ares mild initially, but the astringency picks up steam considerable throughout the session. The mouthfeel is buttery, numbing and quite dry in the finish. Overall, I found this sheng to be quite pleasant and easy to drink. However, it didn’t seem very complex. The cha qi is very strong though, especially considering it’s an autumn tea."

Amazing tea

"Powerful, a tinge of bitterness that transforms to sweetness quickly. Flowers and meadow on the nose. Feeling the Cha Qi after few minutes on the back of the neck and down the back. Highly recommended. :)"

Subtle spices

"Interesting tea with lightly spicy flavours. Pretty complex for a young tea, Will have to try again in 3 yrs."

Really enjoyable

"This is my third Tea from Yunnan Sourcing and boy was I in for a treat. It’s a subtle tea at first. Pleasant and thick but subtle. But around the third steep there is some interesting things happening. There’s a hint of astringency mingled with a spice like cinnamon or Cayenne pepper but without the heat. It’s barely there but it took me by surprise and now it’s the prevalent flavor in my mouth. I really am enjoying this tea and I feel like the quality of tea is surpassing my expectations."
