This is a newish recipe blend first offered in 2004 by the Liming Tea Factory.

It's a blend of Menghai area spring teas, that is tippy and potent!  Aged for 4 years in Guangdong and then later in Kunming has given this a nice semi-aged feeling but without compromising it's complex character.

An affordable semi-aged tea that is suitable for enjoying now, but with the right kind of stuff to be a worthwhile candidate for further aging!

** Some wrappers may be bug-bitten with little holes in the paper. There may also be some dust between the wrapper and the cake. Rinse tea once or twice briefly before drinking! If you are squeamish please don't order this tea!

A nice tea for daily drinking

"It's really nice tea for everyday drinking. It is much darker than the YS's light raw Pu-Erh cakes, but you should give it a try."

Great tea!

"This raw tea we are ordering and drinking for quite a while and it’s never dissipated us. Great taste, smooth and delicious."

"This is a very complex tea that changes quiet a bit from first steep to last steep. The earlier infusions have a very Smokey flavor. The later infusions take on a more acidic earthy flavor."

Like XG but... better.

"This tea was a winner for me right from the start. It has a lot of complexity and is full of hearty Xiaguan vibes. It's pungent and lively, but noticeably less aggressive and mellower than a typical XG tuo. I assume the brief Guangdong storage and decade plus of age may be responsible for that. The taste has layers of rich sugarcane, honey, tobacco, spice, mild subtle smoke, fruit, caramel, moderate level of bitterness, tingling astringency and long aftertaste. As the pungent power subsides with a few steeps, the nice honey / caramel taste reminiscent of dian hong really shines with mouth watering viscosity and an interesting tasteful Fu Zhuan-like sourness emerging. Goes about 10 steeps without dropping off abruptly. The cha qi is noticeable and lasts quite a while after drinking. I really like this tea!"

Subtle and easy

"A really easy drinker, and for the price I can’t complain. It’s quickly become my daily brew."

Tasted this yesterday (and the

"Tasted this yesterday (and the tea had arrived 1,5 months earlier). 5g/100mL. I went for brewing times as follows based on my impressions as I was tasting but have no idea if that's really optimized: 10/20/25/30/40/50/80/120 sec, then 5 and 10 min. There's not much evolution between the brews: the main aromas and tastes are smoked sausage, rolling tobacco and after a while, green steamed vegetables. Moderate astringency. A friend of mine found a hint of red berries and hay on the noose (on top of the rest but lighter). I cannot say if its good because my experience with raw pu erh is very limited but I enjoyed drinking it."

Great everyday drinker

"Nice Smokey sourness with really nice honey flavors coming through in the later brews. tea soup is thick and the cake is not the most heavily compressed in the world, so its a little easier to pick off chunks without to much breakage. My go to everyday drinker at the moment."

My first Pu-erh Tea cake

"Before i only tried ripe puerh and didn't even know that there is other version :). So, I've found this awesome website and did a huge order of different teas, and also 1 raw puerh cake. This one :D . I love it. Since i've tried only 3 sheng in my life, i can't really describe the taste well, not much to compare. My journey only begins. But the experience of drinking this tea i love. I usually put 4g in my gongfu and drink it for 7-9 steeps. After that the water has the color but the taste is very weak and mushroomy (not in a bad way). It definitely has strong cha qi, which i love. I've just drunk this and still drinking and was so hyped so decided to write this review. haha :))"
