A 2007 Nan Qiao pressing under the "Fu Ming Tang" label!  Entirely Menghai area early spring teas.  A blend of Bu Lang and Meng Song teas gives this an invigorating taste and mouth-feeling.

Aged in Kunming since 2007, this has become noticeably more mellow and brews a nice orange thick tea soup.   Although likely plantation teas, this has a nice rounded sweet fruit and malt character without any overwhelming astringency or bitterness.

An excellent aged cake in the ultra-budget category!

Delicate flavoured tea with light copper hue

"A nice, mellow pu-reh with delicate (just a hint of smoke) taste and light copper-golden hue. Good for around 13-14 rinses before becoming slightly bitter and washed out."

I didn’t expect that…

"A really satisfying session. This is a properly aged Nan Qiao sheng that shows its structure clearly. Early steeps move straight into dried herbs and aged wood, with a resinous depth that stays present throughout. Mid-session the original citrus character reappears, not as acidity but as a clean grapefruit peel note that gradually transforms into sweetness. Later steeps lean more medicinal and mineral, with a strong, coherent backbone rather than fading out. What stood out most was the finish. Long after the session ended there was still sweetness, grapefruit peel, and a resinous sensation sitting in the back of the throat. Very honest aging, clean storage, and a tea that feels complete rather than flashy."

Wonderfull session. Steeps taste. Best

"Wonderfull session. Steeps taste. Best selection"

Solid and budget friendly

"Early steeps bring out some floral notes-reminds me of wildflowers. The floral character lingers throughout. Not a showstopper but a solid tea."

Potential investment?

"I bought these because of the great price for the age and I am hoping to use it as an investment"
