This is a pressing of Mengku tea harvested in Spring 2003 and then stored in Nan Jian until early 2020 when the tea stocks were moved to Kunming.  It's a nice relatively tippy raw pu-erh tea that has aged quite alot!  Tight compression has allowed for a gradual aging process, while preserving much of the Mengku character of tea.

Thick viscous orange colored tea soup with a warming mouth feel and returning sweetness and a cool after-finish!  This is a tea that has nice a smooth taste, cha qi, and goes many many steeps!

"Bought this is early 2022 and just now coming back to it! Wow! It is really good. Full aged taste with wide spectrum of flavors and aromas. Very lively tea with good chi."

Aged Enjoyment!

"I really like this tea. I stored it at in my pumidor at 68% and around 80F for several months before tasting it. Smooth, spicy, and earthy. Makes me sweat a bit and gives a nice boost."

Pretty good tea

"It both tastes and smells of camphor and a musty, old book-type smell. It's mellow and rich. A hint of bitterness accompanies all the early to mid brews. However, during the later steeps the bitterness does not fade, instead it is brought out more to the point that it became nasty and with the other flavors it tasted rather unpleasant. The leaves seem somewhat broken, which may contribute to this. Could fade with more time but I'd say this tea isn't phenomenal."
