It's what I was looking for

"I found a similar one on another, very popular, affordable goods from China platform, and the one I got YS is in a different category. This one is light, easy to handle. The one that I got from the cheaper goods platform was much heavier and felt as if it's going to slip out of my hands any time, while having capacity 30ml lower). I recommend this purchase."

Nice Size But Gets Too Hot To Handle

"The size and being able to watch the leaves is nice, but the rim doesn't flare out enough. The rim and knob on the lid get hot VERY fast, making it difficult to pour without burning yourself. Wrapping something like a towel around the cup and lid may help, but it seems like a design flaw."

Size is off, saucer is unnecessarily large, lid burns fingers

"Size is off and only holds about 125ml, saucer is gigantic for some reason, and the way the lid is designed makes it very easy to burn yourself,"

A quality gaiwan

"This is an awesome gaiwan. I like being able to see my tea open up through the clear glass. It's also surprisingly robust for how thin and light it is."

Lovely

"Absolutely tiny, but beautiful and practical. Excellent for one-person tea sessions."

The Tea Show

"While I find glass just a ~touch~ less grip-y than ceramic (and thus a little scarier to hold), watching the tea leaves steep is more than worth it"

Q&A

Is this made of borosilicate glass, or tempered soda lime glass?
Borosilicate
Does this get hot and burn your fingers when you try to strain teas steeped at higher temperatures?
If you are experienced with using a gaiwan then I would say no. It does get pretty hot.
Is the sticker easily removable?
Not very easy. Soak the gaiwan in hot water for awhile and it will come off with a little rubbing.
