"I found that it required long steeps from the start. Smell of leaves very nice but wains quickly. There are much better tea's for the a price in the same "ball park". Stil , sample, sample, sample to find what you like most !"
"Amazing taste and mouth feel the cha qi was excellent."
"Smooth ....nice mouth feel, especially on later steeps. Nice woody, earthy, mushroomy, aged taste and nice Qi. LOve it..."
"I am just learning about various kinds Ripe Pu-erh. It was amazing for me try 20 year old tea. The first impression was a dark, strong tea with an earthy taste. However, compared to other Pu-erh I've sampled, I still preferred somewhat younger teas."
"I had heard about "red date taste" (zaoxiang) in some more coarse ripes and finally found this tea! Very sweet, but needs to be pushed. Steeped 10+ times in silver. Boiled leaves after for 20 minutes. Nice sweet taste."
"60mL gaiwan 20s steeps and couple grandpa style sessions. Musty old storage, old books, talc, a little bit of ginseng. It doesn't really feel like there's much of the tea left. Also, exhausts quickly, around steep 5, which is disappointing. Didn't really pick up much of a qi from this. Leaves fall apart and crumble easily. Did not enjoy this."
"Sampling my brick again. It is medium density and breaks down easily. It renders quickly and sustains well for multiple renderings and does not fade. Despite what you see when you break down the leaves prior to rendering, the leaves hydrate well and extremely large leaves of the old tea trees used. The aroma is distinct and pleasant for all renderings. It has a rich mature robust flavor that is even and balanced. This is a full bodied tea that is what a true old ripe mature pu-erh should be. An excelent example to say the least. I love having a brick of this in my libary to share with guests. This is what most young teas wish they could grow up to be."
"Tried that sample today, started with 8g and 150ml, 10s infusions. Extremely creamy and sweet - sweetest pu-erh experience so far with a noticeable backnotes of fresh fruits and spicyness. Very full in mouth. Love that tea and will get a brick for sure :)"
