"I wasn't sure I would like this strainer too much, figuring it would be a budget friendly hold over until I found something I liked better, but unwrapping this from the packing felt like discovering a little treasure. The gold rims and accent are really subtle, and the design is slightly raised and textured. The porcelain ever so slightly translucent which makes it glow juuuust a little. The tiny feet on the stand are elegant and give this piece an even more dainty look. The colors in the photos are accurate, but somehow again, so much nicer in real life. I thought it would be gaudy, and it is a *little*, but something about it in hand is really special. Some tea dust gets trapped between the nylon and the glass at the bottom, but there's no way around that and doesn't affect the look or function. This is a really pretty and joyful piece and I hope I didn't insult it too much thinking so low of it at first, my bad!!"

Q&A

This may be a dumb question but I'm curious how this is meant to be used? I understand the strainer but am wondering why there is a hole in the bottom of the stand
To allow the residual liquid from the strainer to drain down to your tea table.
What is the diameter of the top of the strainer and what is the diameter of the hole in the bottom where the nylon mesh is located?
8.5cm across, hole with strainer fabric is about 3cm.
