Made from the first flush of Spring White Pekoe (Camellia Taliensis) growing in Yang Ta village in Jing Gu county.  Just the bud is picked but then instead of processing like white tea it's sun-dried (like Pu-erh).  These extra large buds come from Camellia Taliensis varietal and give a sweet taste and heady pungent fruit and flower aroma!

These little cakes are lightly compressed and will come apart easily with a pu-erh pick.  The tea can be aged for several years and will develop honey sweetness with hints of hay over the years.

Great tea

"Outstanding tea and great service"

Aroma is the star of this cake

"It is excellent to make as a cold brew but I'd give it at least 48 hours for proper infusion, any less and it is simply sweet water. There is a thickness you wouldn’t expect from a tea brews this clear. The aroma of the dry cake is heady and even for just that this is worth purchasing for."

Very good value, I think

"Very good value, I think white pure teas are underrated. I really love their aroma, and this tea is a perfect example."

Really Special White Tea

"I’m not typically a huge fan of white teas however this one is something special. It holds up well to higher temperatures and longer steeps and makes for quite long sessions. It’s fruity and floral with more body than I typically expect from white teas. The tea soup itself can be quite thick and is filled with the little hairs from the tea; quite pretty in a clear glass! It’s my favorite white tea, and at a super reasonable price point too!"

Tea Drunk

"One of the best whites you can purchase here. Nice heady feeling. If you want to feel "tea drunk", this is it. A nice little surprise for guests who don't drink gongfu style."

Such great taste of passion

"Such great taste of passion fruit, honney and honeysuckle nectar. it's very versatile, you can brew it agressive and get a pleasent bitternest like you would get from a grapefruit peel. Such a good tea!"

Q&A

If 7 of these are purchased does it come in a tong?
Yes. 7 cakes per tong.
I was wondering if the growers of this tea purport to use any particular pesticides or herbicides or otherwise what conditions or farms they're grown in
This is a no spray tea harvested in the early spring before there are pests.
I was wondering what water temperature is appropriate for this king of tea (as I have two other white pu ehr cakes from YS I haven't tried yet)? Near boiling as it's considered pu ehtr? Or round 70-80 Celcius degrees as it's basically white tea?
I'd recommend 90C. Doesn't need to be hotter or cooler. Of course I'd encourage you to experiment with different temps if you want to make it stronger or softer.
