Picked from tea plants growing in Ning'Er county in Simao prefecture.  Only the bud shoots were picked.  The tea is lightly wilted and processed to keep it's delicate taste and appearance intact.  A kind of chocolate and malt taste comes from the brewed gold-orange tea soup.  Aroma is thick and sweet.  An enjoyable experience comes from the aroma, flavor and appearance of this lovely tea.

Spring Harvest is in March, Autumn Harvest is Late-September

Incredible!

An incredible tea

"Immediately upon first tasting this exquisite tea, I knew it was something special. The taste is rich, almost intoxicating, somewhere between a black tea and a white tea, malty and full. One of my new favorite black teas."

A gold standard black tea

"As somebody who typically drinks oolong, to me this tea tastes like the best version of the 'typical' european tea. Don't get me wrong, it's incomparably better than bagged black tea sold in supermarkets. But it is what all those teas wish they could be. It is a gorgeous golden brown color, good brewed gongfu style, or even with an in-cup mesh diffusor."

Helen (5/5)

Light and Rich

"Brewing my Spring 2023 Imperial Gold Needle Black tea in the gaiwan with multiple steeps at 15 second intervals. Using 4 gm tea to 60 ml water. Tea is initially light with sweetness, hints of malt and chocolate. The flavor becomes more complex, with deeper maltiness, with multiple steeps. An enjoyable tea!"

Delicious cheap tea

"This was the first tea I've ever had with gong fu style. It was quite robust, and an enjoyable, crisp, and sweet experience."

I’m making this tea for the 2nd time and feel suspicious about the amount of foam it produced every time . It should not be like this... Am I doing something wrong (gaiwan, 85C water)?
Pure Bud golden black teas like this have alot of hairs that make the tea foamy. It's a feature not a bug. https://teasteeping.com/why-does-tea-foam/
