This Yunnan varietal of Black tea is created from highest grade small bud Feng Qing tea.  This tea is picked when the buds are still young, the tea is then rolled, briefly fermented and then wok-dried by hand. The flavor is among the smoothest of any Black tea I have ever tasted.  The tea liquor is a super clear golden yellow and the aroma is penetrating and clean.

Potent but smooth taste, thick and viscous tea soup, and an sweet malty aroma!

Always Satisfied

"As always, Yunan Sourcing brings it! The tea is always fresh, delicious, and affordable. I can pick almost any tea and I’ll be amazed and delighted. I appreciate all the hard work farmers, field pickers, factory workers, and the tea masters do to create the best brews on the planet. Tea is clearly an art and passion for everyone at Yunan Sourcing! It doesn’t go unnoticed, so please keep being great!"

King of All Buds

"For me, this tea is deliciously sweet, thick, malty, honey, caramel with an almost cinnamon / cardamom-like spice sweetness that never dissipates from the wash to the last steep. These thin wiry buds give flavor generously over many steeps with sweet taste even in the last round as most of the flavor has faded. Move over Mojiang Pure Bud and Imperial Pure Bud of Simao!, this Feng Qing might be my new favorite of the YS pure bud black teas. Muah! Chef’s kiss."

Slam Dunk

"So it's an interesting thing for me to submit a review. You see, my wife is the tea drinker, not me. She loves malty smooth, sweet teas with bold flavor. Every year, I try to find a good variety of teas that she loves or should love based on her tastes and Yunnan Sourcing US and . com always have what I'm looking for. No order has ever been a dud, every one is a slam dunk!"

Delicious, earthy

"A delicious yunnan gold! It didn't taste quite as sweet or complex as others that are sold on YS, but had deep earthy, rich notes which I found very soothing. It has a distinct savoury/ roasted tomato note that I sometimes find in yunnan golds, a bit malty with smooth body. Maybe a tad flat compared to others I've had, or maybe it's how I brewed it, but still a delightful tea overall."

The best ever tea.

"Just perfect. I have bought this tea many times, and I still have not bothered it. Tea really has a great taste and aroma. Despite the expensive price, it's worth it."

Sweet, robust and pleasant

"I got the Autumn 2019 version and like previous harvests is very full and active in the mouth and senses. I prefer the tippy Feng Qing to the Pure Bud Simao."
