These "Snow Buds" are grown in Ning'er county of Simao, and picked in the very early spring. This is picked as a pure bud tea and then carefully processed through frying, rolling and air-drying. This a unique tea bush varietal called 雪芽#100 (Snow Bud #100) and features large size leaves and buds and prominent downy buds.

The taste is fruity and sweet with a touch of grass (umami) to counter its easy-going sweetness. Perfect white tea for aging! Will change and develop honey malt sweetness with time. Just keep sealed in an opaque pouch or canister!

Floral, sweet, aromatic

"This may be the most pleasant white tea on the market. It's packed full of flavor - with strong smell of flowers, citrus, and vanilla - and a taste that is sweet and extremely rich. You would be remiss not to try it out. I recommend steeping at 80°C."

Punches well above its weight

"I’ve been practicing gongfu cha for about 6 years now, and this tea has jumped up to one of my favorite white teas. It’s sweet, soothing, and opens the airways. I’m brewing it at 90c which keeps the sugary sweetness front and center. The pleasant vegetal notes show up at the back of the pallet. The Cha Qi greets you like a warm, energizing hug. It’s a tea you drink on a quiet Saturday morning, writing in a journal, with the sun peaking through the window."

Smells like a green tea, tastes like a green tea l

"It's good, but not my favorite. This is most green tea tasting white I've had Lol. Very robust with the chestnut flavor. Very umami rich. It is like I am drinking longjing and the aroma is heavy with chestnut, but it pairs nicely with seaweed snacks. I do not think I will purchase a second time"

Sweet, delicious daily favorite!

"Amazing white tea! Almost a warm sweet corn type flavor. Daily drinker for me. Delicious steeped at 170 for about 3 minutes! Love this one, my third order!"

Lovely flavorful tea

"The early spring white tea is a very lovely tea. I enjoy it for a late afternoon tea or before bed. It amazed me at all the flavor this tea exudes for a white tea. I have tried other sources and non come close to this tea. I will definitely be purchasing on a regular basis."
