Ever wondered what would happen if you took bittermelon, took out the insides and left the thick rind and then stuffed it with Tie Guan Yin and roasted it?   Well now you can try this lovely tea.  Strangely enough it's not bitter at all, the bittermelon rind after roasting commingles with the Tie Guan Yin forming a lovely balanced sweet dark oolong goodness!

"I was VERY excited to try this because I had tried fresh bitter melon for its health benefits and it was absolutely horrendous, but I saw a reviewer on this listing say it doesn't taste like the fresh stuff and I thought it would be worth a try as an alternative. Great flavor and another interesting benefit

"I've been drinking the same set of leaves where I work for the past 2 days. Already onto the 6th steeping. It's got a great mellow flavor that's not bitter at all but I've noticed something else. I haven't craved carby snacks while drinking this tea, not even when I get home from work! That's never happened with my usual green teas so I'm wondering of the tieguanyin or the bitter melon are acting as an appetite suppressant. If so, I may recommend this tea to my co-workers and relatives."

"I was nervous to try this tea but I am pleasantly surprised. It is a tasty oolong and definitely has a light cocoa taste to the flavor like other reviewers have mentioned. I have only brewed it once so far but am very happy with it. I did a light wash of the leaves with hot (but not boiling) water for about 15 seconds and then brewed it for 50 seconds."
