Entirely Wu Liang Mountain area tea from certified organic tea gardens. This cake is called "Di Fu" 地氟 (low fluoride) as it was tested by Zu Xiang Tea Factory for fluoride content and was found to be below 300mg/kg (less than 300 parts per million).

This was aged for 3 years as mao cha before being pressed in 2022. The result is a lightly aged mellow Wu Liang raw with a light orchid character, smooth grassy sweetness, and a malt-grain body.

Good Young Sheng

"I like this tea a lot. Not mindblowing, great well-rounded flavor. I don't get a lot of astringency/bitterness but if you go for a strong steep you can pull some of this out of it. Happy with this tea at this price thank you."

Great tea

"I got this cake for free for spending way too much money… again on tea. Very very nice. Honey, floral, slight latex (yummy) medium to low astringency. SHOCKED how decent a tea it is."

Fragrant, Medium Body, Moderate Astringency, Balanced Bitterness and Sweetness, a Delightful Cup

"Received as a free sample with an order. I can't read the very pretty wrapper, but this is much better tea than the sparse description above might lead one to believe; superb, in fact. Based on the description, this is actually 2019 harvest. The three years' aging as mao cha shows in a well developed character of the above mentioned traits without the composted flavors often present in shou and extensively wet-aged sheng puerhs. I haven't the expertise to say definitively, but the composition appears tippy and golden, with small leaves. Based on its heavy weight of scent against a moderate mouthfeel, I would guess it to be spring or a mix of spring and later pickings. When drinking, malty perfume with an initial sweetness give way to lingering astringency and bitterness. With further brewings, as the fragrance recedes and vegetal flavors take over, it maintains that interesting progression, although the sweetness becomes more prominent and persistent. This tea seems to me to have everything it needs to age well, but it's so good now that, unless you're inclined to take notes to make comparisons over time, there's no reason to wait."

Light, non-aggressive, floral, pleasing mouthfeel

"I was pleasantly surprised by this tea that I received as a free gift as part of my order. An, easy to drink, not astringent or aggressive tea. Fruity and floral and hopefully will develop more in the future. I would consider buying a full cake of this."
