This is the purest gold bi luo chun black tea we have ever offered! Just the buds from autumn harvest tea leaves growing in Feng Qing were picked and processed without the slightest inconsistency into this elegant pure gold black tea. After the tea was processed into the finished tea, the tea was hand-sorted to remove any tea that was not perfectly shaped or not pure gold in color. The result is a very elegant looking tea that not only looks amazing but is very smooth to drink as well.

The brewed tea is sweet, with notes of malt and roasted sweet potato. Being from Feng Qing, it also has an earthiness to it, but it's very subtle. Mostly the tea is sweet and malty, while being thick and full-bodied in the mouth. It's also worth noting that this tea is very infusable, surprisingly so for being a pure bud pick.

Spring Harvest is in Late-March and Autumn Harvest is in Late September (refer to drop down menu for Harvest and Year selection.

Wonderful Tea!

"Wonderful black tea, quite sweet for one. Still has that classic black tea taste but alot of sweet tastes mixed throughout! Reminds me mostly of sugarcane/pumpkin/rooibos. Aroma is truly wonderful, one of my favourite black teas!"

Super sweet with mouth watering nose

"One of my favorite Chinese black teas. Mouth watering nose on both the dry and wet leaves. Super sweet and comforting with a pleasing end. After a boil, pull back from the heat a bit and experiment. Let it sit in your mouth for a second or two. And watch that you don't use too much in your gaiwan or teapot. It expands quite alot."

Perfect black tea

"One of the best black tea in the shop. Intense taste and nice aroma."

Grandma's pumpkin pie and roasted pumkin seeds.

"Defenetly can feel a wsewwt potato taste but the main backbone of this tea is shugarcane, sweet pumpkin pie with a finish of roasted pumpkin seeds. The mouth feel is almost jelly like. Highly recommend this gem! Maltiness would be more on the nose, making me think about a sweet dark german beer that I drank with coke some time ago."

My favorite morning tea

"Delicious tea. Imperial gold black tea is my favorite morning tea to ever exist. A mind elixir."

Daniel M. (5/5)

Golden and pleasantly light

"Amazing gold colored liquor. Takes a long time to infuse on the first steep, but is worth the wait. The malt takes a back seat to the tuber sweetness and mild heat of the brew. The tannins are fully present as well, but not astringent. A very nice option for summer or pairing with a light or delicate meal."
