This is a blend of several old arbor Jinggu area raw pu-erh teas.  We wanted to create a unique blend from the highest quality mao cha but also have it be distinctly Jinggu style!   The result is our "He Xie" blend (和谐 lit. Harmonious).

Harvested from wild and wild old arbor tea trees growing in several villages ranging in age from 80 years to 250 years and then blended together to create a thick complex tea with plenty of fuel for aging!

Smooth, Sweet and Thick

"Even textured, smooth, coating fullness in the mouth with an interesting honey sandwich - sweet, bready flavor in early steeps. Starts easy and isn't over powering, but builds up strong, especially as accumulating honey hui gan chips in and astringency swells up mid-session. With the lingering honey and astringency unlocked, dimension is sustained during the many, worthy, post apex steeps. Another solid blend from YS!"

Powerful

"Really nice blend with a perfect name - well, almost perfect. I'd call it "Harmonious Power" because this tea manages to taste and smell fully integrated (harmonious) while delivering power in all positive aspects. The aroma is strong and compelling; quite difficult to pick apart. The aromatic high notes, low notes, and midrange blend into something unified (hey, harmony). It somehow manages to capture jungly vegetal aroma, floral aroma, *very* slight hints of tobacco (which I am not a fan of in other contexts but works perfectly here), and the essential puer muskiness (pleasant thick sweet smell at the bottom of the cup). The flavor is deep and rich from beginning to end, benefiting from shorter brew times to really savor all that it has to offer without sacrificing flavor and aroma intensity. Bitterness is present, but not what defines the power of the tea. It does carry a sweetness once the leaves start opening up, as the brew thickens. Very impressed with the longevity. This is not a dainty puer. Its for those days where you need your puer fix, and you need it strong, but without pointed (beautiful) bitter profile of something from lao man'e, or the drying astringency of powerful young sheng. Obvious potential for aging, but a great, powerful, balanced young tea as well. YS is on point with blends this year it seems!"
