Lightly processed to enhance it's subtle and complex character, the Golden Guan Yin (金观音) Da Hong Pao is a rare treat. The taste is thick and sweet, with a strong lasting mouth-feeling that is expansive. The smell is penetrating with notes orchids and fresh betel nut.
Da Hong Pao varietal picked and processed during last week of September. This autumn Da Hong Pao has been oxidized about 40-50%, giving it a somewhat green/brown leaf and light floral/sweet taste and aroma. A highly enjoyable Da Hong Pao that fills the mouth and senses with pleasure.
Shui Xian varietal grown in Wu Yi Shan area was roasted to medium-high level. Made from Spring 2014 material, this lovely tea imparts the aroma of roasted corn and chocolate. Heavier "classic" roasting process gives this tea unique pungent aroma and smooth taste!
