This is a classic ultra-premium recipe from Menghai tea factory! Originally sold as a loose blend of high grade Menghai tea, and then in 2005 released as a cake, Golden Needle White Lotus has become a legend among Ripe Pu-erhs and has increased dramatically in value.
Cha Tou is a kind of tea nugget that forms naturally from the pressures of compression and heat that occurs during the fermentation process. Typically during fermentation process to make ripe pu-erh there is a pile of tea about 1 meter high.
Star of Menghai (lit. 勐海之星) is a Premium one batch per year ripe pu-erh tea cake. Menghai Tea Factory uses a high ratio of tippy "gong ting" grade ripe leaves in this blend and the result is a pungent and powerful tasting tea ripe pu-erh with a nice balance of bitter and sweet.
A classic recipe from Menghai, but the first production of 2014 (1401). The highest grade material is always used for first batch productions and is highly sought after by collectors. This is an average blend of grade 6 material.
This is a classic Ripe tea blend, called "V93". It is smooth and full in the mouth. It is fermented just enough to break down the bitterness of raw pu-erh while lightly fermented enough to preserve the stimulating cha qi and hui gan of a raw pu-erh. After-taste is sweet and thick. Stock up on this Batch 1401.
Smokey "BBQ" like aroma and taste. Crisp and smooth liquor with a solid "hui gan" and sweet aftertaste. Complex mouthfeel with hints of mushroom and a solid cha qi. Aged mao cha used give this a golden yellow tea soup and an aged taste.
